The Shoei Neotec 2 replaces its predecessor: the successful Neotec. The previous Neotec is one of (if not) the best Modular Helmet available on the market. With its successor, Shoei brings various improvements in safety, ventilation, isolation, the visor mechanism, visibility and comfort. Despite the name, the Neotec 2 is much more than a simple upgrade. As one may expect from Shoei, this helmet is full of innovation. The Neotec II has set the bar for all new high quality Flip-Up Helmets. Apart from the Schuberth C4 and the AGV Sportmodular, the Neotec 2 is miles ahead of the competition. But what makes this system helmet so unique? At Champion Helmets we were delighted to take a closer look at the helmet to give you a good idea of what you can expect.
When you’re looking at a helmet there are a few things that you should be checking out but with so many brand names and marketing terms, it can be pretty hard to see the real value. So today this blog will run through the things that we look at to determine whether a helmet is worth the price but also whether a helmet has good quality. A low cost helmet can have the same value as a premium helmet though. This all relative and that is because a premium helmet made out of plastic might not be worth the money but a low costing helmet made out of plastic will be more likely to be worth the value. So everything is relative. Essentially though, better materials and features will cost more and that is a constant in life. So what we’ll go through here are the kind of things that we look for in a helmet to determine its value and quality. Make sure that you check our video on this topic as well if you want to see examples!
GT Air vs GT Air 2
The Shoei GT Air 2 has arrived at Motorgear Store and we were able to compare both the original GT Air and the all new GT Air 2 to see what has changed.
They are both full-face, sport touring helmets in the premium range from Shoei, and the original GT Air proved to be pretty well liked. So the new GT Air 2 has got some new features and upgrades over the original but that is pretty easy to say but it doesn’t actually mean anything without context. So for that purpose we are going to go through the GT Air 2’s differences compared to the original. If you want to know more about the GT AIR 2 as a helmet be sure to check out our focused review of this helmet on our YouTube channel and subscribe to get the newest info on the GT Air 2 and more Shoei helmets.
